About Siraad
Siraad is a digital payment platform registered in Sweden as an enskild firma. We provide digital wallet services and person-to-person money transfers for the Somali diaspora in Sweden and Europe.

1. Eligibility

To use Siraad you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Reside in Sweden or another EU/EEA country
  • Provide valid identity verification (KYC)
  • Have a valid email address and phone number
  • Act on your own behalf — not for third parties

2. Account Registration & Security

You may only register one Siraad account. You are responsible for keeping your PIN and password confidential. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately at hello@siraad.app.

You must ensure all information provided at registration is accurate, complete and current. Notify us immediately of any changes.

3. Identity Verification (KYC)

We are required by law to verify your identity before you can use our services. You agree to provide:

  • Valid government-issued photo ID (passport or national ID)
  • Proof of address
  • Source of funds information when required

Your account may be suspended if your identity document expires and you do not provide a new valid document.

We screen all users against applicable PEP (Politically Exposed Person) and sanctions lists as required by Swedish and EU anti-money laundering law.

All fees are shown clearly before you confirm any transaction. There are no hidden fees.

6. Prohibited Activities

You must not use Siraad for:

  • Money laundering, terrorism financing or fraud
  • Transactions involving sanctioned individuals or countries
  • Purchasing illegal goods or services
  • Sending funds on behalf of third parties without authorization
  • Any activity that violates Swedish, EU or Somali law

7. Account Suspension & Termination

We may immediately suspend or close your account without notice if we have reason to believe you have violated these terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or if required by law or regulatory authority.

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at hello@siraad.app.

We will give two months' written notice for general terminations not related to violations.

8. Limitation of Liability

Siraad is not liable for indirect damages, loss of profit, or damages resulting from third-party failures (banks, telecom providers, payment networks). We are not liable for service unavailability due to maintenance, technical failures beyond our control, or force majeure events.

9. Right of Withdrawal

You have 14 days from account creation to withdraw from this agreement. Note that this does not apply to individual transactions already executed.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes shall be resolved under Swedish jurisdiction. You may also refer disputes to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN) at arn.se.

11. Changes to Terms

We will notify you at least 2 months in advance of material changes to these terms. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

You have the right to:

  • Portability — receive your data in a portable format
  • Objection — object to direct marketing at any time

7. Cookies

Siraad uses only essential cookies necessary for the app to function. We use Google Analytics for anonymous usage statistics. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.

8. International Transfers

Your data may be processed outside the EEA by service providers. In all such cases we use approved safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as required by GDPR.

We take all complaints seriously. If you are not satisfied with our service, we want to hear from you. All complaints are handled free of charge.

Our Response Times

  • Acknowledgement: Within 24 hours
  • Initial response: Within 5 business days
  • Full resolution: Within 15 business days
  • Complex cases: Maximum 35 business days

If we need more time, we will inform you before the 15-day deadline and give you a new expected resolution date.

Our Refund Commitment
If a transfer fails or is incorrectly executed, you are entitled to a full refund. We process all refunds as quickly as possible — typically within 1–7 business days, and no later than 14 days.

Refund Eligibility

You are entitled to a refund if:

  • A transfer was not executed or was executed incorrectly
  • A transaction was cancelled before processing
  • You were charged incorrectly
  • A technical error caused a duplicate charge
  • The recipient did not receive the funds within the stated timeframe

How to Request a Refund

Include the SRD-XXXXXX reference number shown in your transaction history.

We review the transaction and contact relevant payment partners if needed.

Confirmed refunds are credited to your Siraad wallet or original payment method.

Time Limit for Claims

Important: You must report an unauthorized or incorrect transaction within 13 months of the transaction date. After this period, we may not be able to process your claim.

Non-Refundable Situations

  • Transfers completed successfully where the sender provided incorrect recipient details
  • Transactions where you confirmed and approved the amount and fee
  • Claims submitted more than 13 months after the transaction
  • Refunds refused by order of a regulatory authority

Right of Withdrawal

You have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date your account agreement was entered into. This applies to the account agreement itself, not to individual transactions that have already been executed.

To exercise this right, notify us in writing at hello@siraad.app within 14 days of account creation.
